Norah Durrant

Deacon Search

Norah graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1995 with a 2.1 LLB (Hons) degree in Law. She then completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester. Upon qualification, Norah spent 2 years at DLA before moving to Gateley Wareing where she practiced as an employment lawyer for 6 years.

In 2007 Norah moved into legal recruitment with Deacon Search. She specialises in recruiting at partner and partner designate level and also has experience of team moves. She has conducted and completed a wide variety of partner assignments for both US and UK law firms.

Alongside Norah’s private practice work, she has a growing list of In-House roles and has had great success over the last 12 months placing General Counsels in a variety of organisations.

Interests: Norah has three young boys which keep her very busy outside of work. She is an avid reader, loves spending time with friends and enjoys good food and wine. She has recently been appointed as a School Governor of her boys’ school and has spent many years as a PTA member.

Surprising fact about Norah: With three young boys Norah has had to embrace all things sporty and is now the U8’s rugby manager at her son’s rugby club. She has been known to step in to help with training sessions – mostly crowd control!
